Alai Mayan Riviera

​Cancun, Mexico, 2017-2018 

Designed in response to its natural surroundings, Alai marries ecological considerations, engaging design and a reinterpretation of local architectural tradition. Welcoming more international visitors than any region in Latin America, Mayan Riviera has become an important centre of business, tourism and transport.

 

Accommodating this continued growth in popularity while also curtailing its impact on the environment must be the principal driver for all new projects in the region.

Rome Hotel Interiors 

Rome, Italy, 2016-2018

The project generates and declines through numerous procedures of a new vocabulary of complex times. The declination of this language, generated from the intersection of simple vaults, in the various environments object of the design of the interiors of the ground floor of the hotel, is the main theme of the intervention.

 

Supported by this coherent linguistic structure, the project is articulated in the specific definition of spaces in relation to their functions. The strong coherence geometric coherence that characterizes them allows the creation of varied atmospheres, the use of multiple materials and colors.

Macau Melco City

Macau, China, 2017-2019

Located in the Cotai district of Macau adjacent to the Lotus Bridge crossing with mainland China, the Hollywood-inspired Studio City resort has welcomed guests and visitors to the city since 2015.

 

Composed of three different gradations of glass with external fins that delineate the verticality of the towers, the insulated glazing units and shading fins will reduce solar heat gain and glare while maintaining thermal comfort for hotel guests. The high-performance building envelope together with highly efficient services and systems will reduce energy demand. 

Hainan Resort

Hainan, China, 2016-2019

This masterplanned development provides a luxury hotel and serviced apartment complex on the southeast coast of Hainan island. Our design has been inspired by the natural landscape and sloping topography, flowing down the hill to the private beach.

 

Divided by the main access road, serviced apartments occupy the upper half of the site with a five-star hotel and landscaped gardens on the lower half between the road and the sea. Serviced apartments are arranged over nine storeys on the northern side of the site, with 10 privately owned villas east of the apartments with direct access to the beach and hotel

Located within the established streetscape of St Kilda Road, the design enables residents to make full advantage of its excellent location within Melbourne. The fluid forms of the façade define large balconies for each apartment and spectacular views of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park and skyline of the Central Business District.

 

The building offers several shared facilities: main lobby, lounges, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, massage room, changing rooms, gym, cinema, business centre, rooftop lounge, rooftop terrace, relaxation room, typical corridors, lift car, wine cellar. 

Mandarin Oriental 

Melbourne, Australia, 2016-2018

This mixed-use building in Melbourne’s Central Business District incorporates retail, commercial and residential components with diverse apartment typologies and designs. Mandarin Oriental, Melbourne will feature 196 spacious guestrooms and suites designed to reflect local culture, together with features inspired by Mandarin Oriental’s heritage.

 

Mandarin Oriental, Melbourne will feature an all- day dining restaurant and a bar with a landscaped roof terrace. There will also be a variety of meeting spaces and an executive club lounge.

City Life Milan, Italy, 2015-2017.jpg

City Life

Milan, Italy, 2015-2017

Located above Tre Torri station on the M5 line of Milan’s Metro network, City Life Tower and Shopping District integrate a new public park with indoor and outdoor piazzas, food hall, restaurants, cafes, shops and cinema as well as facilities for health and well-being.  

 

City Life is one of Europe’s largest redevelopment projects and includes 1,000 new homes, corporate offices for almost 10,000 staff, the new 42-acre park, piazzas and kindergarten. City Life is the largest new civic space and public park created in the city; welcoming more than seven million visitors, workers and residents each year.

Buxin Garden Mixed-Use Development

Shenzen, China, 2019

The mixed-used developments includes several towers in the residential, hospitality and commercial sectors. They are all interconnected by a large scale podium articulated with gardens, plazas, water features and retail pods.

 

The overall design language takes inspiration from the water flow of rivers. The development connect to the surrounding city through a series of bridges. The series of layers at the podium levels is also extended to the higher floors establishing direct connections between different towers thought the creation of sky bridges.

The strategic location of site is bound by Qiantang River on the south, Qianjinag road to the north, Yunhe East road to the East, with residential district in the vicinity and Sanxing Road to the west with Jianggan Cultural and Sport Centre in the neighborhood.  

Despite its prominent location, the site faces a number of different challenges and, at the same time, incredible opportunities. 

 

The West plot follows urban grid set by the CBD while the East plot is laid out in continuation with the adjacent city grid. The Canal axis and the river axis contribute to the complexity and the fragmentation of the urban grid.

Principal Place

London, UK, 2014-2016

Principal Tower is the landmark apartment tower within Principal Place, a new mixed-use development on the edge of the City of London in the borough of Hackney, at 175 metres, it will be one of London’s tallest residential buildings.

 

The relationship between the creative, formerly industrial aeast end and Britain’s financial centre is expressed in the tower’s massing, which appears as three slim volumes. Where the tower addresses the residential neighbourhood of Shoreditch, it appears lower from ground level, while from the west it reflects the high-rise nature of the City.

 

A central volume rises up between the two to provide an elegant marker on the skyline.

Evkur Development

The proposal is based on the continuation of the existing regular urban fabric on east side but also take into consideration the directionality and organic flow of thae adjusted highway on the west which makes it a perfect mix of historical and new city fabric order. 

 

The main feature of the composition is the playful continuity between the towers verticality and the podium horizontality. The two interlocking elements create a coherent overall image of the masterplan and private courtyards that can be used by the residents as a landscape getaway from the city, also providing interesting and private views form the apartments into the green courtyards.
